AB Entheos is part of a new consortium selected to pilot an innovative wildlife claims administration system in Kenya. The goal is to streamline and expedite compensation for victims of human-wildlife conflict.
The current manual, error-prone process has left over 14,000 claims unpaid, with some victims waiting over 10 years. The new digitized system aims to pay verified claims within 30 days for property damage and 90 days for death/injury.
AB Entheos brings expertise in designing sustainable financial solutions for Africa. The consortium, including Pula and Minet, will collaborate to engage communities, verify claims digitally, and approve payments. Benefits include faster payouts, equitable compensation, and transparency.
The pilot launched in July 2023 across six counties. AB Entheos’ involvement showcases its commitment to social justice and leveraging technology to serve vulnerable groups. Streamlining wildlife compensation enables peaceful coexistence between communities and wildlife.
AB Entheos continues building innovative models that protect people across Africa. Participating in improving wildlife compensation highlights the company’s values and leadership in the region.
